  SCHEDULED SANDWICH SALES

  • We will be in charge of the concessions at The Open Team Roping competition which will be held at Scott Parker's Arena between Hardin and Moss Hill.  All proceeds from the competition will be donated to TVE to help with the scholarship fund.  The dates of the competitions are:   Sunday, August 16th, and Sunday, September 27th.  If it is raining on the 22nd of May, the competition  will be held at TVE Arena.  Please let Anne Scott know if you are available to work at any of these events.  For information on the Team Roping Event contact one of the persons listed below:

  • Friday, July 3rd:  Sandwich sale at the Tractor Supply in Liberty on Hwy 146 North.  Set-up will begin at 2:30 out by the road as usual.

  • Saturday, July 11th, Sandwich sale at the Liberty Walmart

 

                SCHEDULED SUNDAY PRACTICES

  • Sunday, July 19th:  Practice for both teams.  Shavings pick-up will be this day as well as farriar trims.

 

Up-Coming Events                                      

 

 

  • Dress Rehearsal Performance:  Our Dress Rehearsal performance will be held at the TVE Arena on, Tuesday, July 7th.

  • Performance begins at 7:00 pm.  The Rebel Riders and the Lone Star Riders will perform both their State Theme Drill and their Precision Drill for their community, sponsors, friends, and families.  Concessions will be available as well as raffle items.  The drawing for the raffle filly will be the last event of the evening. 

 

  • 4-H Club Officer's Training:  There will be a club officer's training for all new club officers on, July 16th.  Details will be posted as I know them.

 

  • Texas State 4-H Horse Show:  We will leave for our State 4-H Horse Show on Saturday, July 25th.  Our theme drill competition will be at 6:00 pm on Monday evening, July 27th, and Precision Drill will be at 8:00 am on Wednesday morning, July 29th  We always leave for Abilene the Saturday before the competitions to allow the horses and riders to get acclimated and for the riders to have sufficient time to practice before the competitions.  Many meet at the old Cleveland Walmart parking lot on Hwy 321 at 3:00 am on Saturday and travel together.  They make a couple of stops to allow the horses to get out and exercise.

  • Awards Banquet:  This year's awards banquet will be on ,Saturday, September 12th.  Information from Scarlett,  your new 4-H County Council President, is listed below. 
     

  • Everyone is invited to attend the banquet. This year's theme is "How Did You Shine in '09". Every club will be encouraged to decorate a table with examples of activities they participated in this past 4-H year. What has your club been doing? Show us your stuff !!
